Short Resume:

Mr. Xu Kanda earned his Master degree & Bachelor in Tongji University, majored in urban planning & heritage conservation. Now he works as an Urban Planner at the Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning & Design Institute Co., LTD. He is also a National Certified Urban Planner.
Mr. Xu Kanda’s research focuses on the urban and rural heritage conservation, with particular attention to the heritage conservation and regeneration in historic center. He had spent several years worked in the World Bank-loan project Qufu Ming Era City Conservation and completed his thesis for master degree. He was also involved in the urban heritage conservation project in Guizhou, Guangzhou, Dali and many region in China. In the recent years, he was dedicated in the field of Heritage publicity and joined in the ICOMOS-CIAV VERNADOC program. In 2019, he has organized the first VERNADOC Camp in China in World Heritage Site Pingyao Ancient City to encourage general public to participate in documentation and conservation of vernacular architecture.
