Since 2006, directly involved in all WH nomination of Chinese cultural heritage sites, and in the revision of Chinese WH Tentative List; provides technical support to Chinese National Cultural Heritage Administration on the conservation and management of existing WH properties via research, training, international exchange etc. Completed thematic studies, including that on the Coordinated Nomination, Conservation and Management of Transboundary Cultural Route Heritage-Silk Roads and on Chinese Tea Cultural Landscape. Drafted WH nomination dossier for Beihai Park, an imperial Garden in Beijing. Translated international documents including the Chinese version of Managing World Cultural Heritage, UNESCO Beijing, 2015 and Operational Guidelines to the WH Convention, 2016. For promoting cultural heritage, made the illustrated book “Around China in 41 Sites- China’s World Cultural Heritage 1987-2019”; curated “A deeper China” exhibition at Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism (Italy, 2019) and “Temple Fair, Rewind” exhibition in the Beijing Design Week (2017). With research interest in urban conservation and regeneration, latest publication includes: “A great Chinese ‘rural’ metropolis – The unity and contradictions in Beijing’s urban identity” in Cities’ Identity Through Architecture& Arts, Taylor & Francis Group, London, 2018, PP.3-9
