Work experience
As head of the Culture Department of the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Azimova is dealing with the following coordination of the preparation of the Heritage Impact Assessments, periodic and state of conservation reports of the country in cooperation with the Academy od Sciences, Ministry of Culture and it’s regional branches under the following UNESCO Conventions: 1970 Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property; 1972 Convention on Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage; 2003 Convention on Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Furthermore she deals with organising of the capacity building seminars on preservation and utilization of the objects of cultural heritage;elaboration project proposals for international cooperation in the field of protection tangible and safeguarding intangible cultural heritage; assist in preparation of nominations of tangible cultural heritage objects to the WH List of UNESCO; as well as evaluation of the draft nomination documents to the UNESCO World Heritage List and UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
