Somayeh Fadaei Nezhad Bahramjerdi is an associate professor at University of Tehran, College of Fine, School of Architecture, Architectural & Urban Heritage Department. She received her bachelor degree in Conservation of Historic Environment in 2004 and undertook a master degree in Urban Conservation from University of Tehran in 2006 and finally, in 2012, she achieved Ph.D. in Architecture with a specialism in conservation and development of historic cities from Tehran University. In 2011, she spent six months at Kassel University in Germany as a visiting researcher and worked on her dissertation about integrated conservation and development in historic cities under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Uwe Altrock. She is a member of National Committee for Documentation and Conservation of Building, Sites and Neighborhoods of the Modern Movement (DOCOMOMO- Iran) and National Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage (TICCIH- Iran) and ICOMOS in Iran.
She is director of numerous projects in the field of architectural and urban heritage conservation at the national and international levels. The most recent of these is the“Capacity Building in Sustainability for Architectural Heritage- SAH” under EU Erasmus plus action 2 capacity building program with Italy, Germany, Greece, Russia and Armenia, and the project entitled“Tehran Industrial Heritage Conservation Plan” which carried out for Municipality of Tehran.
