Engineer graduated from the Arts et Metiers Institute of Technology - ENSAM (France), Yvon VELOT is the founder and CEO of Kunming SinoMekong Co. Ltd (Kunming - China), a consulting society for companies and public or private institutions in the following fields: commerce and industry, higher education, research and vocational training, protection and valuation of cultural heritage, industrial heritage and natural heritage. He is also the co-founder with Yunnan Arts University (School of Arts Management) of the Lancang-Mekong International Research Center on Living Cultural Heritage, Art and Culture (Kunming) and the co-founder with Kunming University of Science and Technology (School of Architecture and City Planning) of the Lancang-Mekong International Research Center for the Protection of the Architectural Heritage (Kunming).
Yvon VELOT is member of ICOMOS, TICCIH, IUCN and of the Society of Geography (France), and honorary president of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway Research Association (Kunming). He is also French foreign trade advisor and representative in Kunming of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCI France China).
