Quang Van Son has more than a decade of experience in conducting research, practical teaching in heritage conservation, and excavation surveys in Vietnam and Cambodia. He is interested in Vietnamese cultural heritage and cultural tourism, studying the Champa temple and citadels in Vietnam, the influence of Hinduism on Champa culture, and inscriptions of Champa from the 7th to 18th centuries. He was the co-author with William Noseworthy and Sakaya et al. on the Cham-Vietnamese English/Vietnamese-English-Cham Dictionary (Tri Thuc Publisher, 2014) and the main author of the Ilimo Campa from Archeaologies (The Gioi Publisher, 2020). Quang Van Son worked at the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Development Studies and the Faculty of Creative Technology at Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He is the head of the Cultural Heritage Studies Group of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Development Studies. He was the author and co-author of 18 articles in ISI/Scopus, books, and journals in Vietnam.
