A Conservation Architect, Educator, Author of 4 books and curator of one mobile
application, Madhu Vottery is an expert on Cultural Tourism and Heritage Education, working and
volunteering with leading international forums UNESCO, ICOMOS, WMF.
Madhu has also successfully completed the Heritage Walk for #MissWorld2025, delegates form 116 countries, with Telangana Tourism in Hyderabad.
In her last two decades of work, she has designed the Heritage Walks in and around the Walled City, written and illustrated a book inventorying the 275 Heritage sites of Hyderabad (started in 2009).
In the year 2012 she was selected for the prestigious IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program- MRP) by the US Consulate, Hyderabad. Her love for working with students to promote Heritage is evident in her research writing with detailed illustrations and training programs. It can also be observed in her heritage interpretation during the Craft Walk, Nature Walk and Museum Walk, other than Heritage Walks (acknowledged by UNOSSC in 2024)
Historic Moazzam Jahi Market Walk (Aug 2020), Water Walk (March 2022). The aim of these projects is to design the activities related to HERITAGE EDUCATION and CULTURAL TOURISM promotion, with the help of Central and State Government, Academicians, Heritage enthusiasts and many individuals. Madhu has also conducted Capacity Building workshops for UNESCO and has been training World Heritage Volunteers at Ramappa Temple (UNESCO WHS) since 2022. Her talks, walks, workshops are a tool to create awareness in society for heritage and environment. She was awarded PRIDE OF TELANAGANA in Nov 2021. Presently Madhu is busy with 'Preserving Legacies-Heritage Adapts'. National Scholarship, National Senior Fellowship and many research papers are added to her credit.
