Short Resume:

Dr. Abdurrahman is a hardworking and dynamic professional with 35 years of experience in the profession and 28 years in academia. He worked in several universities in Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Turkey. Dr. Abdurrahman took the lead in several activities at the University of Bahrain. In 2012, he chaired the organizing committee for the First Architectural Heritage Photography Competition. In 2013, he became the coordinator for the Eskan Bank Award for Creative Engineering, and in 2014, he coordinated the Ministry of Transportation Award for Innovative Transport Systems.
In Antalya Bilim University, Antalya, Turkey, he was the initiator and organizer of the cooperation agreement between the university and Kepez Municipality. He was also the initiator and organizer of the Urban Design Competition hosted by Antalya Kepez Municipality.
Dr. Abdurrahman has taught several courses, including all levels of architectural design studio, graduation project, urban planning, sustainable urban planning, urban design, sustainable urban design urban theories, history of architecture, environmental aesthetics, phenomenology of architecture, architectural conservation, landscape architecture, and urban sociology. He participated in several refereed international conferences and workshops in Palestine, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UK, the Netherlands, and Turkey. His research interests cover several topics, including theory and practice of urban planning, sustainable urban design and planning, architectural heritage management, environmental aesthetics, and urban sociology.
