Short Resume:

Dr Chandni Chowdhary holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture, a postgraduate degree in Architecture & Settlement Conservation, and a PhD focused on development strategies for historic urban cores, with a detailed study on Nawalgarh. Her interdisciplinary training is complemented by extensive field experience across Rajasthan.
Her work with the Jaipur Municipal Corporation focused on policy-level engagements, conservation advisory, and capacity-building for heritage-led urban development in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jaipur. She has led heritage management, operations, and tourism development at Jaigarh Fort, while overseeing documentation, site interpretation, visitor experience enhancement, and strategic planning. She co-founded JaipurUncharted, a platform dedicated to public engagement with architecture and cultural heritage.
Her publications include peer-reviewed papers on urban heritage governance and conservation approaches in Shekhawati and Jaipur, as well as several articles for professional and public audiences. She has contributed chapters to edited volumes on architectural history and has presented her research at both national and international forums.
Her competencies span architectural documentation, heritage impact assessment, interpretation design, research writing, museum programming, and outreach & communication. She is committed to advancing culturally grounded, sustainable conservation practice and strengthening public understanding of India's historic environments.
