The webinar will offer an overview of current World Heritage issues:
This is the kick-off event for a capacity building series on which UNESCO Bangkok and UNESCO Jakarta are collaborating in follow up to the Asia-Pacific Periodic Reporting exercise. Within Southeast Asia, we are focusing on building capacity related to two issues highlighted in the World Heritage Regional Framework Action Plan: updating and harmonizing Tentative Lists (in 2024, by UNESCO Bangkok) and improving the quality of World Heritage nominations (in 2025, by UNESCO Jakarta).
