The WHIPIC invite Heritage professional to apply for the International Fellowship Programme on Heritage Interpretation and Presentation. This three-months programme offers professional in mid/high-level positions within their organizations who are dedicated to promoting understanding and appreciation for World Heritage a unique opportunity to enhance their skills in heritage interpretation and presentation.
Fellowship Description
· Duration: 24th October 2024 ~ 23rd January 2025 (3 months)
· Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00
· Workplace: WHIPIC, 2107 Hannuri-daero, Sejong-si, Republic of Korea
· Number of Participants: 1 person
Eligibility Criteria
Fellows will be selected based on the following criteria:· Applicants must have a minimum of Master’s degree in the field of heritage or other relevant related disciplines
· Demonstrated experience or interest in heritage interpretation and presentation
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the implementation of World Heritage Convention
· Hold a mid/high-level position within your organisation
· Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
· Applicants must be able to commit to the full duration of the fellowship programme
Benefits
The selected fellow will receive:
· Monthly stipend of approximately 1,450 USD or 2,000,000 KRW
· Fully funded round-trip airfare (in economy class) and housing for three months in Sejong, Republic of Korea
· Gain hands-on experience in heritage interpretation and presentation through collaborative work with international experts and professionals in the field

Responsibilities
During the fellowship programme, the fellow will:
· Engage in research projects on topics related to heritage interpretation and presentation
· Develop and implement projects aimed at promoting interpretation and presentation of World Heritage Sites
· Attend workshops, seminars, and site visits to gain practical skills and insights into heritage interpretation and presentation practices
· Present research findings, project proposals, and work-in-progress to peers and external stakeholders
· Participate in networking events, social gatherings, and cultural activities to build connections and collaborations within the heritage community
· Fellow will be required to submit final reports on the activities and achievements throughout the fellowship programme

· Applicants describe a brief statement of interest outlining why you are interested in participating in the fellowship programme and how it aligns with your career goals and experience in the implementation of the World Heritage Convention (maximum 500 words)

Selection procedure
1. Each applicant should submit the following application package;
· The completed application form
· Curriculum Vitae(maximum 4 pages)
2. Once you have submitted your application, please request an online interview to WHIPIC by e-mail (whipic.oh@gmail.com).
3. We will contact you by email to arrange an online interview to select the successful candidates.
4. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the eligibility criteria, the quality of the submitted materials and the online interview.
5. If you are selected following an online interview, you will receive an e-mail with your fellowship offer letter from WHIPIC.
