Workshop Overview
UNESCO Bangkok, with support from the Japanese Funds-in-Trust, is pleased to invite heritage site managers, archive managers, and related professionals from South-East Asia and beyond to a two-day online training workshop, Introduction to World Heritage Site Archives Management in South-East Asia, scheduled for 20-21 November 2024. This workshop will be conducted via Zoom over two half-day sessions and will feature expert-led lectures, interactive exercises, and real case studies.
This workshop is part of the JFIT project “Safeguarding World Heritage Site Archives in South-East Asia,” which aims to enhance the protection of documentary archives linked to World Heritage properties, ensuring a more informed approach to heritage management. These archives are essential to preserving the historical narratives of heritage sites and support ongoing and future conservation efforts. Participants who complete the training will receive a Certificate of Participation.
