Carmela received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of the Philippines - Diliman.
At the moment, she is engaged as an Architect for the Department of Transportation - Philippines. Part of her responsibility is to draft the Cultural Heritage Properties Management System to guide the sector for future projects for the protection of culturally significant properties and zones. Previously, Carmela has worked in architectural design consultancy, and project management.
