Short Resume:

Aziliz is a graduate of the Master in Conservation of Monuments and Sites at the Faculty of Engineering Science of the University of Leuven. In 2017, following 4 years of research on preventive conservation and monitoring of the built environment, she obtained her Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Leuven. Throughout her career, she has successfully set up and was involved in several EU and international R&D projects. She successfully carried out projects and capacity buildings in the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, South America, and the Western Balkans.
Today, Aziliz is a guest professor at the KU Leuven, where she coordinates and teaches a course on the highly specialized subject of built heritage documentation. In addition, she is part of RealVisuals, a company specialized in reality capture and 3D documentation techniques to aid architects and building professionals in enhancing the efficiency of their projects.
Over the years, she presented her results at international conferences, published several articles, and edited books on built heritage. She is a member of several active networks, e.g. the OurWorldHeritage committee for transformational impacts of information technology.
