Anusha Madhusudhan serves as a Judicial Fellow at the International Court of Justice from September 2023 until June 2024, assisting in the Court's important functions of settling inter-governmental disputes and rendering advisory opinions on matters of international law.
The ICJ is located at the iconic Peace Palace in the Hague.
Following her undergraduate legal training, Ms. Madhusudhan accepted an offer at New York University to pursue a Masters in international law. Since 2017, she has advised three governments, including India's representation at the UN, on complex diplomatic negotiations, and served at a UN-mandated criminal court in Tanzania on landmark cases concerning the Rwandan genocide.
In 2021, Ms. Madhusudhan moved back home to Bangalore, India, where she worked on a boutique law firm's international disputes team and advised on sophisticated matters relating to fine art and the repatriation of cultural heritage.
Anusha looks forward to continuing her work in international law and cultural heritage after the Fellowship while joining her husband in Dublin as a diplomatic spouse.
