Short Resume:

Elizabeth Moore is Professor (Emeritus), SOAS, Associate Fellow, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute and In-Region Liaison for the SOAS Alphawood Programme. Recent publications: "The Ancient City of Mokti in the Tenth to Thirteenth Century CE Bagan period" with Soe Thainkha, SOJOURN: Journal of Social Issues in Southeast Asia, 34/1 (2019), pp. 149-184.
Research interests include the connections between the past and present in the archaeology, cultural heritage and landscape of Mainland Southeast Asia during the first and early second millennia CE with a focus on the Buddhist archaeology and culture of Myanmar, past evidence, the landscape and present social memory from Upper to Lower Myanmar. Earlier research focused on Angkor, Cambodia and the use of radar remote sensing for detection of pre-Angkor sites and ancient cities in Thailand, particularly in Isan, the northeast region.
