Short Resume:

Prof. Dr. Prem Nath Maskey, after graduating with a M.Sc. degree (Honours) in Civil and Industrial Structures, had started his career as a faculty in Civil Engineering at the IOE, Tribhuvan University in 1975. He is the very first Ph. D. in Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has been continuing his academic profession in IOE since 1975.
He is the first Program Coordinator of the M. Sc. in Structural Engineering at the IOE. He was the Director of the Center for Applied Research and Development (CARD), under the initiation of which the Ph.D level program in various engineering disciplines was formally introduced at the IOE.
He has been involved in various research activities related with Earthquake Engineering and Disaster Risk Mitigation of Cultural Heritage Sites. He has about 40 journal and conference papers in his credit.
He was the main scriptwriter of the “Disaster Risk Management Plan for the Historic City of Patan, Nepal” prepared by the Research Center for Disaster Mitigation of Urban Cultural Heritage, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan, and IOE, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has participated in a number of national and international seminars/conferences, extensive experience in consulting as structural engineer, and international expert in various projects.
