Namiko Yamauchi obtained MS in Historic preservation from Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation, and Planning at Columbia University. (92) As a superior consultant at Japan Cultural Heritage Consultancy (2007-20014), she engaged in World Cultural Heritage nomination preparation activities including composing of the nomination dossier. (Tomioka Silk Mill and Related Sites) From 1995 to 2000, she participated in the works conducted by the Japanese Government Team for Safeguarding Angkor, (JSA) for conservation activities of Angkor Archaeological Monuments, particularly Bayon. I was an interim director of JSA's Siem Reap office from '99 to 2000 as a despatched expert of Japan Foundation. She lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as an intern to Jabatan Muzeum Negara, (National Museum Department) when they are establishing the conservation department. She has been a consecutive field trip manager for the Capacity Building Workshop for Nature Culture Linkage sponsored by ICCROM and Tsukuba University. (2015-2019) One of the translators of the ICCROM handbook for disaster risk management for museum objects.
