Mrs Marushina graduated from the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and she works as a Research Associate at Scientific Research & Project Institute "Spetzrestavratsia", and Russian Scientific Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Since 2007 to the present day, Natalia Marushina has been involving in the World Heritage conservation. During her ten-years’ work at the Committee for the State Control and Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments of St. Petersburg she has participated in the realization and organization of different projects concerning World Heritage (WH Retrospective Inventory project, events in the field of heritage study and presentation).
Natalia Marushina’s current activity is directly related to the scientific research and practical studies in the field of urban planning, heritage protection and town-planning restrictions relevant to the territory of the World Heritage site "Historic Centre of St. Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments". She also works on preparing nominations to the World Heritage List and Management plans for Russian WH sites. The prior directions of her work are identifying of attributes of OUV and Impact Assessments for World Heritage.
